Apprenticeships changing

With 74 per cent of trainees and apprentices in the mining industry now aged 25 or older, this workforce element is changing. Contained in the Australian
Jobs publication for 2018, the research showed that there are a broad range of opportunities but many young people do not seem to have a genuine
interest or commitment to the trade or in becoming an apprentice. This opens up the field to older apprentices who may be interested in changing
careers or a fresh start. For more information, visit australianapprenticeships.gov.au
